We’re thrilled to announce that the 11th Visegrad Film Forum a special networking event for film students, is coming soon! Get ready to embark on a cinematic rollercoaster at the Film and TV Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava from March 13-16, 2024! No, it’s not just about movie marathons: we’re offering a unique educational and networking programme for young filmmakers.

Buckle up for an epic four-day joyride full of amazing projections, masterclasses by the crème de la crème of the film industry, case studies and workshops that will leave students full of new knowledge in the world of moving pictures.

The first confirmed guest of the 11th edition is Rúnar Rúnarsson, an acclaimed Icelandic authorwho is probably the most awarded short film director. He earned recognition for his exceptional work with an Oscar nomination and also the Palme d’Or nomination at Cannes Film Festival. His feature debut, Volcano, and subsequent films like Echo showcase his ability to navigate diverse themes, capturing the nuances of life’s crossroads with poetic realism.

VFF 2024 will also welcome Tariq Anwar, a British-American film editor with a 40-year career, who gained prominence for editing acclaimed films like American Beauty and The King’s Speech, both of which earned him an Academy award nomination.

 Peter Suschitzky, a British cinematographer, is renowned for his work on classics like Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and a collaboration with David Cronenberg, Tim Burton or M. Night Shyamalan. He earned accolades such as a BAFTA nomination and the Pierre Angénieux “Excellens” Award at Cannes.
