How to Initiate, Manage and Develop Creative Spaces
The new Toolkit “How to Initiate, Manage and Develop Creative Spaces” is part of the EU/UNESCO supported Project “Designing a Creative Cluster Ecosystem in Georgia”.
Prof. Dr. Lidia Varbanova, Director of Master Program “Management of Performing Arts and Industries”, was the Lead Expert on the elaboration of the Toolkit. The nine chapters, written in an engaging and interactive style, offer basic guidelines, menu of options, plenty of international examples, lessons learned and tips on how to set up and run a creative space, hub, cluster, in an urban environment.
The toolkit was elaborated with the Creative Georgia team and as a result of collaborative thinking, accumulated experience and competence, provided by professionals from several countries in the period January 2020 – June 2021.
The Toolkit is directed towards cultural organizations and professionals, more specifically: managers and teams of non-profit organizations in the cultural sector and creative industries; business organizations and managers who are willing to support cultural sector; decision-makers at local level, responsible for cultural policy and urban development; any other individuals and professionals, willing to initiate and run a creative space.
