Interdisciplinary International Conference “Text and Image” 2025
We invite the academic community to participate in the Third Interdisciplinary International Conference “Text and Image.” Once again, scholars and artists will have the opportunity to exchange ideas, perspectives, and intuitions in search of intersections between different arts and various fields of the humanities. This year, we are extending the invitation to researchers from abroad with the goal of transforming the forum into an international event.
In 2025, we will place special anniversary emphasis on the work of Geo Milev as a writer, artist, and theater figure. Papers dedicated to this creator will be organized into a separate panel.
The organizers of the conference continue to expand institutional partnerships. After the National Academy of Arts joined last year, this year the National Academy of Music (NAM) and the Academy of Music, Dance, and Fine Arts in Plovdiv (AMDFA) are joining as well. Thus, the academies of arts, two institutes of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS), and one university unite with the ambition of establishing the forum as a landmark scientific event.

Oral Presentation Duration: Up to 15 minutes Participation
Fee: 50 BGN for participants from Bulgaria / 50 EUR for international participants (The amount must be paid within three business days after approval of the application by the forum’s scientific committee.)

Deadline for submission of applications (topic and short abstract): July 25, 2025, by email: text image-3@natfiz.bg
Applications will be reviewed and approved by the forum’s Scientific Committee based on the abstracts. Only papers that were presented at the conference and successfully passed double blind peer review will be accepted for publication in the refereed edition after the conference. Formatting requirements will be sent together with the conference program.
